O.D.TRAVELER-Route 40 Patagonia
This issue shows the route along Route 40 of Argentine Patagonia, from Neuquén, passing
through San Martín de los Andes and Vila la Angostura, to Río Negro in San Carlos de Bariloche.
From this town we will cross the lakes to reach Puerto Varas in Chilean Patagonia.
From San Carlos de Bariloche follow the route to Chubut, where the landscape of Los
Alerces National Park, located northwest of the province of Chubut, is considered one of the
most beautiful protected areas in Argentina, we will continue to Puerto Madryn, to witness
whales, dolphins, killer whales and the life of penguins in full freedom, in the Valdes.
We follow the route to the Santa Cruz region where the amazing hand caves await us, the
city of Calafate to reach the Glacier National Park, and the Perito Moreno glacier. Within the
glacier national park the beauty of Chaltén with the extraordinary Cerro de Fitz Roy.
A route that crosses the country from north to south for a total of 5,200 kilometers, a
crossing through the Andes mountain range that was already traveled by the aborigines in
the past. A spectacular journey that we recommend to all travelers who like to enjoy landscapes
provided by nature is one of their preferences.
